Encouraging Predictions for Ohio Real Estate

Home sales are on the rise!

Home sales are on the rise!

Everyone knows that the real estate market ebbs and flows. As an active and engaged realtor, I keep a close eye on national, state, and local market trends and activity. When I find an intriguing article I think you might enjoy, I will share it with you here.

A wonderful article about Ohio Real Estate was posted by Jim Weiker of The Columbus Dispatch earlier this week. He was writing about the National Association of Realtor’s chief economist, Lawrence Yun, and his positive predictions about the real estate in Ohio. He writes:

Yun predicted that home values could rise 15 percent and home sales will rise more than 20 percent during the next three years across the nation.

Ohio, however, is poised for a stronger showing because it has so far lagged behind the nation’s recovery, he said.

“I would not be surprised if Ohio outperformed the rest of the country in 2013 and 2014 in terms of home prices and sales,” he said.

His predictions are very significant for both buyers and sellers in Central Ohio. To read the rest of Jim Weiker’s article, click here.
