Easter Egg Hunts and Happenings in Central Ohio

easter eggLooking for some fun Easter events? Here are several that will be taking place in Central Ohio over the next few days. The weather is improving, hope you can get out and enjoy some of these!

Friday, March 29th

Eggs, Paws and Claws (Columbus Zoo) 5 – 8 pm.   Special eggstremely fun activities throughout the zoo: Aqua-Bunny at Discovery Reef, photos with the Easter Bunny, egg hunts for some of the animals, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, along with Polly Polar Bear, Patriot Eagle caravan, treat stations and MUCH more!  Free with admission/membership.  Click here for more information.

LM&M Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express (127 S. Mechanic St., Lebanon) Families will enjoy a train ride to LM&M Junction where they will meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy a egg hunt. Bags are provided. Times: 10am, 12:15pm, 2:30pm, 4:45pm. Click here for more information.

Grace Pickerington’s Easter Eggsplosion (Pickerington High School, 7800 Refugee Rd) 6pm  Children in 4th grade or younger. Eggs will be dropped from a helicopter (at 7:15pm)! There will also be inflatables, games, face painting and free dinner. Registration is required by 7pm or online.  FREE  Click here for more information.

Saturday, March 30th

Galena’s Easter Egg Hunt (Ruffner Park, 170 Harrison St) 1pm.  1 pm.  A fun hunt for Easter eggs, children will be divided into age groups (infants – 4 years; 5-7 years; 8-10 years).  The 5-10 year olds can also participate in a coin and candy toss. AND ages 11-14 can participate in a scavenger hunt for 25 presidential dollars.  Easter Bunny will make an appearance and one kid from each age group can win a grand prize Easter basket. Bexley Celebrations Association’s Easter Egg Hunt (Jeffrey Mansion back field, 165 N. Parkway Ave.) 12pm  A fun Easter egg hunt for kids (rain or shine).

Reynoldsburg Community Easter Egg Hunt (Reynoldsburg Senior Center & Huber Park, 1520 Davidson Dr.)  The whole family can enjoy breakfast and photos with the Easter Bunny, as well as crafts at the Senior Center from 9 – 11am – Ages 10 and under – free, 11 and up – $5. (registration required for breakfast).  Afterwards, at 11:30am, the Easter Egg Hunt will begin (no registration required). FREE hunt. 614-322-6806.

Westerville Parks Foundation Bunny Hop 5K (Hoff Woods Park, 556 McCorkle Blvd) 8 am for adults and 9 am for youth.  Adults can run or walk their 3.1 miles and the kids run will be an 100 yard dash.  Proceeds benefit the Westerville Parks Foundation.  Pancake breakfast (donations requested) will start at 8am.  Easter Egg hunt will happen after the event (see event details below).  $30 for adults in advance ($35 day of race), $10 for youth (with adult registration).  Click here for more information.

Westerville’s Spring Eggsravaganza (Hoff Woods Park, 556 McCorkle Blvd) For children 8 and under and will be broken into age groups (Ages 2 and under on field 1; ages 3 &4 on field 2; ages 5 & 6 on field 3; ages 7-8 on field 4). 11am – for 2 and under and 11:30am for kids 3-8 years.  There will be the egg hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny and crafts.  Bring your basket and make sure you are early.  Rain or Shine.  Parents of ages 2 and under can help their children.  FREE. 614-901-6500.

Sharon Woods GPS Egg Hunt (Ranger Station, 6911 Cleveland Ave) 10am – 1pm.  Families can bring their GPS and have fun searching for plastic eggs hidden through the park and a chance to win a prize. Some GPS will be available to borrow.

Grace Polaris Easter Eggstravaganza (8225 Worthington-Galena Rd, Westerville) 10:30am-12pm  There will be bouncy rides, games, petting zoo, the egg hunt and more.  Rain or shine (will be indoors if it rains).  Free. Call 614-888-7733 or click here for more information.

Pickerington’s Breakfast with the Bunny (Pickerington Central Highschool, 300 Opportunity Way) 9 – 11am  There will be a breakfast, crafts, games and Easter bunny (bring camera). Presold tickets $6 (2 and under are free) at Recreation Dept (100 Lockville Rd). Click here for more information.

Annual Bunny Romp at The Hills Market (7860 Olentangy River Rd) Easter Bunny visits at 11:30am and the hunt starts at 12pm for kids ages 2-12. Free.  Pancake & sausage breakfast offered for $5 before the event. Click here for more information.

Clintonville Egg Hunt (Whetstone Park Lower Meadow) 10am Annual egg hunt hosted by Kiwanis. FREE! Click here for more information.

Egg-Stravaganza (North Broadway United Methodist Church, 48 E. North Broadway) 9:30am – 11am Starts with light breakfast, bounces houses, games, crafts, face painting, egg hunt, cookie decorating and more. FREE! Call 614-268-8626 for info.

Grace Church Community Easter Egg Hunt (Liberty High School’s 3 practice fields, Powell) 11am Rain or shine, over 80,000 eggs to hunt that will drop from a helicopter (weather permitting). Games and door prizes too. Ages 1-10. FREE!  Click here for more information.

Hocking Valley Scenic Railroad Easter Bunny Train (Nelsonville Depot) 10 am AND 1 pm. Enjoy a two hour trip which includes fun Easter Egg hunt following the train ride.  Children will be broken into age groups for the hunt.  Adult tickets are $17 ea and include on child’s ticket.  Additional children $10 each.
